Good day today. I set off for Caceres which was only an hour away going west. I went straight to the aires which I’d picked out as it was only 1km from the historic centre. There were about ten spaces with three taken but it was early. The walk to the Plaza Mayor was all up hill but not difficult. To be honest it was very similar to Trujillo with lots of plazas and cathedrals spread over the top of a hill. Fort like and very much somilar to the conquistador town from yesterday. Nice though with a few more Spanish tourist groups. All old!!!!
Id decided that if I finished early enough I’d get into a campsite to get some washing done. After visiting Lidl I got into a campsite just outside town. It was recommended so I’d no worries about visiting. It was cool with great staff(who gave me a discount) two swimming pools , restaurant and a laundry room. You even had a private bathroom on your pitch,now that’s a first. As expected it was quite busy with lots of Brits plus Dutch being the major visitors. Good site.
